Time to show off with the stuff my friends created!
I got this awesome comic in the mail just now, Thomas also added STICKERS and cards, HOORAY!

I then realized that photo booth flips everything

BUT LOOK! It also works as a mask!
Be sure to check his blog and FLICKR to see his astonishing drawings and send him money if you are OK with getting something German to read.
His style is unique and fluid and there is really nothing like it out there!
ALSO:

Another buddy made this funny short and you should watch it!
It has mischief, grief AND joy in some really funactionpackedsuperdrawings!
AAAAANNDDD,
the best girl-buddy ever, Antje was mentioned in the Comic Journal and she is now working on a child book project that is sure to be great, check it OUT!

ALRIGHT! Back to work and I`m happy that everyone is being astonishingly super rad!

Hello!
The following depicts the same scene shown some posts below, with the difference being that I`m more happy with it and that it contains some characters actually doing something.
They look a bit less “rough” but adding these kinds of gimmicks makes it easier to deform them when it fits a gag and I think it works alright.

I also watched some documentaries:
- One made me dislike economy (The Corporation)
- One made me dislike food production (The future of Food)
- And this one made me dislike “LA People” (Confessions of a Superhero)
I hope everyone is having a good week so far, I will now read Plastic Man by the great Kyle Baker and Blood Meridian by McCarthy while drinking tea.
Indeed!

Hello!
My plane to the new world takes off tomorrow morning and I´m exited!
Apart from packing clothes and choosing tshirts , I´ve spend the last days thinking about comics, researching comics AND I may have found an direction that could be the right one.
While looking things up (Miyazakis Mangas were of interested), I found this documentary about Studio Ghibli making Princess Mononoke. Its pretty long and very different from anything I have seen about Ghibli this far.
The DVD´s never have any good bonus material and Miyazaki has never been a friend of cameras. That’s why this Documentary is different.
You get to see him smoking (a lot), working on storyboards /animation, fidling over what color basket A should have and you see him struggling to find the right scenes.
He is not the weird gray bearded ANIME GOD he is normaly portraited as, but more a hard working chain smoker that argues a lot.
Worthwhile if you have an hour or more to spare!
(klick and scroll down to see the first part named 1-1/14)
BONUS DRAWING:

See you soon!
