Hei,
the comic is finished, click on the picture to read it:

I´m not really happy with it (anymore) but whats done is done. I´m thinking about the next small story in that world and
I may try to go with another technique too.
To mix it up, something from the Sketchbook:

AND FUCK YEAH ITS FRIDAY!

I havent posted many Photos of Portland, so please have some:

I also had good training with Periscope buddy Ron Chan at ALIVE MMA
and
I´ve finished the six pages of the prologue. At least until everyone trashed it. I´m reworking the layout now (and actually adding panel borders) and should be able to post it on friday.
Have a good Thursday!

Hi!
A second busy week is over and it included:
- doing comic pages twice (see below)
- spending my first thanksgiving with the amazing Jeff Parker, his family and friends
- drinking weird cocktails and getting a headache from arcade games
- seeing THE ROAD and finding it only mediocre due to not enough risks and famous people
Here are the two versions of the comic i´m currently working on as a “test” for a bigger thing. Watercolors and then only digital

I like doing the watercolors more BUT the digital stuff flows way faster and is way way easier to handle.
Painting is new and actually thinking about color palette and “leading-the-eye” boggles my mind. Thats why the watercolors are a big blob of something instead of being highly readable.
I will post the whole 5 pages of the prologue next sunday!
Have a good week!

Hello Hello,
Workweek ONE is over and here are some intimate shots of Periscope Studios in the early morning:

Next is a thumbnail page of a story I´m currently working on. Working on means “being frustrated with” because I have a hard time finding a working method that is fun for me. Its like being the guy who is able to sing a bit when he is in the shower but sucks when on a stage or actually trying to write a song. Its a weird and whiny problem and it will go by itself once I feel less uprooted by being in a different country.
Below the thumbnail, some sketches to find a look and feel.

AND I was hanging out with awesome Mr. Ellis in a Bar watching UFC 106. The fight card was good and there were lots of great back and forth matches. But the real attraction were the fans shouting, screaming and banging on walls during the bouts (the place was packed):

YES!
Have a good week!

Hello!
I am alive and well, my third day in America Country is slowly ending and was great.
Hanging around famous and great people at Portland Comic Con was a blast, although I was not really contributing anything except for lame questions or jokes about chubby girls dressed up as Bat Girl.
I´m still a bit weirded out by the fact that I am now walking through Portland, that I´m talking english AND that Dollars feel like Monopoly money.
My face goes from A to B and then back again:

ALSO, this happened a couple of times:
(partly because I thought that it would be a hoot to walk around without glasses for a while)

Thanks for all the well wishes, I wanted to upload some pictures as well but was to stupid to take my camera cord with me.
I´ll buy another one and show some juicy details of living in Oregon.
Have a good start into an all new, all fresh week!
